 Position: Camp Director Team
After the upcoming summer camp 2019, and an amazing 15 years of faithful service at CrossView Christian Camp, our current camp administrators will be leaving to embark on a new phase of faith and ministry. They have done a fantastic job, and their great leadership will be missed! Thankfully, their hard work has prepared the way for a new team to step into this important role of reaching children and youth with the life changing Truth! CrossView's Board of Directors is currently reviewing resumes/applications. Due to the nature and magnitude of this ministry position, we are seeking a qualified husband and wife team.
Qualifications & Requirements:
*    An active and evident Christian walk *    Desire to work together as a husband wife team as co-directors (Biblical)*    A Bachelor's degree in camp administration or similar is preferred / or a college degree w/commensurate experience in children's or youth ministry *    Camp experience (as a camper, as a camp staff, preferably as a camp director/administrator)*    Experience in budget preparation and administration in excess of $75,000.00 *    Computer literacy, preferably with a working knowledge of Quickbooks, Word, etc.*    Willingness to follow and implement staff conduct/appearance guidelines *    Ability to plan, present & implement camp schedule, curriculum, and activities*    Ability to secure and manage important/confidential records, documents, applications, etc.*    Ability to recruit, hire, train, and manage multi-purpose staff effectively*    Ability to develop and implement strategies to promote CrossView Camp in surrounding areas*    Counseling experience is highly desired*    Ability and experience working with children and parents of all backgrounds*    Ability and experience working with special needs children/youth is highly desired *    Certification in CPR and 1st Aid*    Ability to manage basic/minor medical care; containment/disbursement of prescription meds; AED training & admin as needed *    Strong knowledge of the Bible...gifted and experienced in teaching children/youth*    Experience in child evangelism (ability to effectively communicate the Gospel)*    Family life in order according to the Bible (finances, relationships, children)*    Social media accountability*    Spiritually mature, and experienced in crisis management*    Self-motivated, with the ability to motivate others*    Prepare for, and implement annual fundraising events (i.e. - Cake Walk @ Punkin Days, Festival of Tables, etc.)*    Ability to champion a wholesome, loving atmosphere in all settings
*    Ability to deal with a rustic setting which includes bugs, scorpions, tarantulas, and an occasional snake*    Experience in public speaking (preferably to both children and adults)*    Grant writing & fund raising experience is highly desired*    Knowledge and proficiency in the implementation of high and low ropes activities is highly desired*    Knowledge of the Texas Youth Camp Act / rules & regulations is highly desired*    Knowledge of kitchen/food service/health department rules and regulations is highly desired*    Ability and experience preparing meals for large groups is highly desired*    Knowledge of pool management and maintenance is highly desired*    Passion for and experience working in the great outdoors is a must *    Must pass a criminal background check, and drug screen *    Good physical fitness is mandatory (ability to withstand working daily in 100+ degree heat)*    Full range of motion and the ability to lift 35 - 50 lbs. frequently*    Endurance (ability to work on your feet 12+ hour days during summer camp)*    Reside at the camp throughout the year*    Mechanically inclined and able to learn new skills as needed*    Ability to address frequent maintenance issues *    Must have a good driving record, and a valid Texas driver's license       This position takes a great deal of patience and perseverance...it can be exhausting...but it is also very rewarding! The ideal candidates will be multi-taskers, able to address various needs, challenges, and surprises simultaneously. The team for this position must be called to do it effectively. NOTE: This preceding information is a partial description of the duties and responsibilities of the director team of CrossView Christian Camp & Retreat Center. This team position will offer a salary commensurate with experience and qualifications. Summer Staff:

CrossView hires several Summer Staff each year. In addition to the pay listed below, housing and meals are included.

Multi-purpose Staff (6 positions). These Staff members will live in the Staff Cabins, run the activities, do the daily chores, etc. Included in these positions will be the lifeguards, praise and worship leader(s), ropes course lead facilitator, safety officer, paintball supervisor, etc. Pay is $50/day.

Staff Counselors (4 positions, 2 male & 2 female). These Staff members will receive special training to deal with difficult kids, live in the Camper Cabins, and team up with a Volunteer Counselor to work with a team of 9 Campers each week. Pay is $50/day.

Cook(s) (1 or 2 positions, depending on desired schedule). Pay is $7.25/hour.
