Statement of Faith

  • We believe the Holy Bible is the authoritative, Holy-Spirit inspired Word of God, from which we receive our foundation of faith. (2 Timothy 3:16 “All scripture is God breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness.”)
  • We believe there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. (2 Corinthians 13:14 “May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.”)
  • We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His complete and atoning death, in His bodily resurrection on the third day, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father in Heaven, and in His personal, future return to this earth in power and glory. (Matthew 16:16; 1 Corinthians 15:3,4)
  • We believe in the blessed hope of the gathering of the Church at Christ's coming. (Titus 2:13: “. . . while we wait for the blessed hope – the appearing of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ.”)
  • We believe the only way for a person to be cleansed from sin is through repentance and faith in the shed blood of Jesus Christ. (1 Peter 1:18, 19 “For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from your forefathers, but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect.”)
  • We believe “. . . all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified freely by His grace through the redemption that came by Jesus Christ.” (Romans 3:23, 24)
  • We believe a person must be born both naturally, and of the Spirit of God in order to enter the Kingdom of God. (John 3:5 “Jesus answered, 'I tell you the truth, no one can enter the Kingdom of God unless he is born of water and the Spirit.'”)
  • We believe in healing of the human body through the redemptive work of Jesus on the cross. (1 Peter 2:24 “. . . by His wounds you have been healed.”)
  • We believe in the work of the Holy Spirit, by whose in-dwelling the Christian can live a Godly, victorious life. (Acts 2:38 “Peter replied, 'Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.'” Galatians 5:16 “So I say, live by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the sinful nature.”)
  • We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost. The saved will be resurrected to eternal life. The lost will be resurrected to eternal damnation. (John 5:28, 29 “Do not be amazed at this, for a time is coming when all who are in their graves will hear His voice and come out – those who have done good will rise to live, and those who have done evil will rise to be condemned.”)
  • We believe in water baptism as a form of identification with Christ's death, burial, and resurrection as a public declaration and sealing of one's faith. We believe in total submersion of the person being water baptized. (Romans 6:3-5 “Or don't you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death? We were therefore buried with Him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life. If we have been united with Him like this in His death, we will certainly also be united with Him in His resurrection.”)
  • We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in Jesus Christ. (Acts 2:44 “All the believers were together and had everything in common.”)
